Hydration as a Form of Self-Respect

Hydration as a Form of Self-Respect

Self-care behaviors commonly are neglected simply because the world demands much of our time, attention, and energy. In fact, even some of the simplest forms of self-care seldom seem doable amidst all the chaos and distraction. However, the most fundamental and arguably most important thing you may think of in demonstrating self-care is ensuring you are hydrated! Loch believes that drinking water is not just for quenching thirst; it's in the theme of self-respect.

The Body's Quiet Request

Just to illustrate, every cell, tissue and organ requires water in order to function properly. Hydrating aids digestion, energy, and assists with other bodily functions, like skin pliability and lightheaded thoughts. When the person becomes dehydrated, and the body calls out for help; fatigue, cloudy thinking, dry skin, and moody behaviors (all those subtle reminders that energy is at a critically low point) are certainly reminders.

This is why Loch bottles are structurally designed to enhance not only performance, but lionized presence, too. Each bottle is supple, invitingly tactile, yet minimally styled so that the design of the bottle encourages you to slow down and sip mindfully, and connect with your aspirations whether the aspirations are wellness, sustainability, or simply being kinder to your body.

The Ripple Effect

You are choosing more than just water when you choose to hydrate. You are choosing to show up as your best self! More present, more intentional, more alive. That ripple effect has the potential to create transformative change in your day.

You will begin to see you start to be action-oriented, you will notice you communicate much more clearly and you will become more patient with those around you, without battling the effects of dehydration!

Hydration is an important aspect of your physical wellness journey. Whether going to a yoga class, running errands, or sitting at a desk for the majority of the day, hydration supports endurance, one can move fluidly and it may affect what you are feeling.

Sustainable Self-Respect.

Loch views respect for oneself as extending to respect for one's domain. Hence, the creation of bottles that are very robust and that discourage single-use plastic consumption. Each time a consumer uses Loch for a refill, this conscious act reconnects them to something much larger than their own physical embodiment: their own self-respect and the Earth!

Going beyond wellness, it is responsibility, which begins with the simple act of drinking water

A gentle reminder

The culture that defines your worth based on how productive you are has an accepted norm: a pause to nourish and slow down by drinking water. Therefore, take that sip from your water bottle intentionally. Can you make it a gift of gratitude to your body, to the journey, or to the ability to care? Because self-respect isn't always downing a whole bunch of water. Sometimes it's just about carrying a water bottle every day as a mid-drift reminder to yourself that this choosing to offer yourself love and care is the gift you chose to give to yourself.
