At LOCH, we do not only ensure the design of the most beautiful hydration bottles. We not only believe in making a difference, but also to the planet and the people around us. In the summer, when temperatures were really high in the UAE, we kicked off an emotional campaign praising a category of heroes nobody talks about enough: the delivery drivers.
Why Delivery Riders?
They are people who we see as we open our doors, constantly moving, offering to do anything in extreme heat just to make our lives more convenient. If it is a last minute meal, grocery or necessities, we depend on them more than we appreciate.And, during the UAE summer, not only does it help to be well hydrated and feel good, it is also a part of their safety and health.
The LOCH Way: Purposed Hydration
When it was a part of our summer campaign, we gave free LOCH bottles to dozens of delivery riders through the city. They are not ordinary bottles, they are the bottles that can keep the drinks cold up to 24 hours, they are made of quality stainless steel and they are crafted by people who also deserve the best.
We tried to show this through that small act: We notice you. Thank you. Just remain composed, drink water.”
The Response? Bowling and touching.
The smiling faces, the thank-you messages, the expression of surprise on their faces, it strengthened our belief that we did this to make a difference. Most of the riders explained to us that they hardly get anything after working such long hours. It made them feel good just to have something to bear cold water when they were hot.
Each sip counts
This campaign was an effective but brief reminder that you do not have to make huge gestures in order to make an impact.Other times, it is a matter of giving water to the people in the most need. We take pride in producing products that contribute to sustainability, wellness and human connection and will keep looking into opportunities to give back.
