Hydration Hacks to Help Increase Your Water Consumption

I want to take a moment to talk about how little nudges towards changing habits can really influence my health in the long run. I went from the captain of Team Dehydrated, to being on a mission to increase my water consumption. I discovered a simple secret: It’s all about changing my water-drinking habits one tiny change at a time.

Goodbye sugar demon

My quest to conquer the beast and increase water consumption through simple baby steps began first when I ditched those sugary beverages and embraced the refreshing simplicity of water. It was not easy. Sugar is an addition. And on a hot day, nothing beats that pump of sugar and bubbles. But here's the trick: I armed myself with a trusty reusable water bottle. It became my hydration sidekick, always ready for action. Whenever I craved a soda, I would take a nice big sip of my cold water - and guess what, I kid you not… no more cravings! It’s like magic.

Next up: hack your hydration!

To keep the hydration game strong and really increase my water consumption, I discovered a few clever hacks. First, I set reminders on my phone—gentle nudges to drink up. Then, I jazzed up my water with a squeeze of lemon or a sprig of mint. It's like a mini-party in my mouth with every sip. I also always choose the brightest coloured reusable water bottle so it stands out and grabs my attention wherever I am. In this office, it’s my big yellow bottle on my desk calling out to me. On my nightstand, it’s a calm green slimmer size.

The Water Variety Show

Sure, water is life's most basic liquid, but that doesn't mean it can't be exciting. I transformed my hydration routine into a variety show by infusing it with flavours. I experimented with cucumber, berries, and even a splash of coconut water. I use Loch Life’s infuser that fits right into my reusable water bottle. It's like a hydration party that never gets old and is always cold!

Changing your water-drinking habits can lead to miraculous results. I literally get gasps when I tell people my age. I see it too. I don’t look a day over 29 and I’m 38! Skin aside, I’m refreshed, and energetic, and my digestion is better than ever. A reusable water bottle that you can truly trust, I really believe, can have a lasting transformative effect on your habits that will have a lasting effect on your health.
